How to subscribe to Codex public reset alerts
Set up alerts for public Codex reset updates: compare email, WeChat, the Chrome extension and web notifications, complete the required confirmation or permission steps, then check the setup result.
Choose an alert method that suits you
Alerts cover public updates and do not require your Codex login details. After receiving an alert, check your personal quota in your own account.
Open Quota Orbit and choose an alert method →
On a phone, swipe the table horizontally to view all columns.
| Method | How to enable it | How to verify the setup |

Web alerts: check the displayed state
On the homepage, open “Alert settings” beside the notification button, choose announcement categories, then click “Enable alerts” and allow notifications when prompted. Clicking “Browser notifications” directly requests permission immediately. If page alerts are enabled but background push is unavailable, keep the page open. Even when background push is connected, the browser must keep running and stay online. After clicking “Test notification”, confirm that a system notification actually appears; a button response does not prove delivery.
If notifications are blocked, open the instructions, restore notification permission for this site in browser site settings, then return and enable alerts again. If background connection fails, use “Retry background connection”. System Focus mode or system notification permissions can also suppress alerts.

Email: confirm after submitting your address
Email confirmation links expire, and your first subscription requires confirmation. Submitting an email address alone does not activate it. If the confirmation email has not arrived, check spam first. If the link has expired, request a new one.
If the page says new subscriptions are paused, follow its instructions. Existing subscriptions can be changed or canceled through the management link in an email. A successful request, acceptance by the sending API and actual email delivery are separate outcomes.
No alert received? Check these first
- Manually check the latest updates and check time on the website or in the extension to see whether there is a new public announcement that applies to you.
- Check your selected announcement categories, connection status and notification permissions in both the browser and operating system.
- Check whether the device is asleep or offline, or the browser has been closed. The Chrome extension checks for public updates every 5 minutes; it does not receive real-time push notifications.
Enabling browser alerts for the first time does not send historical alerts. Re-enabling an alert category in the Chrome extension does not replay old announcements either. A test notification checks only the current delivery path; it does not prove that every future announcement will reach you.
What alerts can tell you
Alerts may contain public announcements, completion updates or reset credit news. They do not mean your personal quota has been restored. First, check the latest public updates and original posts, then check your own account.
Public sources may be delayed or miss events, so receiving no alert does not mean no reset occurred. Sleep mode, lost connectivity or blocked notifications can also affect delivery. Check the product page for the current availability of each method.

Quota Orbit is an independent tool, not an official OpenAI product. Its public website and integration interfaces do not read personal quota, guarantee quota restoration for an individual account or provide reset probabilities.
